Thank you to all who joined us at Larkin College for our annual conference and annual general meeting on the topic of school libraries, student wellbeing and empathy.
We were delighted to welcome Rachel Gleeson from Narrative 4 to our conference. Rachel is a University of Limerick psychology graduate with a background in early childhood care. She believes strongly in the power of human relationships, the power of connection and the sharing of our stories. She has been a member of the Narrative 4 Ireland team since 2019.
We were also delighted to welcome Brighid Hennessy who serves as a Professional Learning Leader on the Oide Wellbeing/SPHE team. She actively assists teachers in implementing curriculum reforms within the Wellbeing/SPHE area, crafting and delivering innovative professional learning experiences that align with the Wellbeing Framework. Brighid’s commitment to fostering supportive educational environments empowers both teachers and students to thrive in a holistic learning atmosphere.
JCSP librarian, Jane Bingham-Shee showcased some of the activities she does to promote student wellbeing. This was followed by a group discussion where delegates can chat about what they do for student wellbeing.
Following lunch, we held our Annual General Meeting.
We would like to thank all involved in making this conference possible and for all who participated and spoke at the event. Many thanks as well to Larkin College for hosting us on the day.
